Recollections

Sleepless last night, I wonder why. Too many thoughts flashed in and out, but none seemed tangible enough for me to grasp and carefully mull over. From affection to studies to life aims to personal accomplishments to family, everything is just so near yet so unreachable. Life, is never simple.

Anyway, let me just recall briefly what I've done so far in this holidays as promised. Maybe I'll get a better idea of what to do next.

Week 1
Redang Band
Redang, of course. No doubt it is a heavenly place with my cheerful gang of INTIan buddies, lovely white beach, blue sky, crystal clear sea water, serene sceneries, fascinating coral lives, night sky radiated with stars and happening night events at some other resorts within walking distance. I would certainly recommend the island as a great local honeymoon spot. But still, nothing beats Italy's weather, atmosphere and romantic European cultural. Back to the topic, kudos to Jay for making the last trip for all of us possible, it was truly enjoyable despite my minor incident of seasick and illegal feeding to fishes hehe.

Week 2
Where I spill my sweatsHome sweet home. Home coming is especially precious for home leavers. For me, it is probably my last stay at home until I finish my studies at the States. Treated myself with a relaxing week after 2 long years of studies in INTI. Stopped by at a basketball league in Miri, visited Bintang Plaza's new wing, watched 'Knowing' with chubby mouse and cool prince of ice, played basketball with the boss and agreed to join the treasure hunt organized by the church youth.

Week 3
Puzzles

Treasures hunting. Joined the church youth's treasure hunt with 2 new friends. Wasn’t as exciting as I thought it would be, tiring yes. Due to safety concern, the participants were required to compete by accumulating points instead of being fast. I bet we failed the tedious tasks terribly. Tasks like taking law paper test, counting bulbs and benches at the city fan, counting car parks, counting staircase steps and catching crabs/flies are just way too lame? However, last day was thrilling as we were informed that the first to discover the treasure would be the winner. Consequently, we sped all the way up to 130kph along Miri shoreline in a shaky myvi. At the end of the day, we missed a junction to our station, drove about 1 hour in vain and lost the crown, enjoyed extra sceneries tho haha. At the same time, went to CHBand jamming with a guest band of the Miri International Jazz Festival, met Pn Soh which officially reactivated my involvement in band. :D

Week 4
Musician's spouses
Old days.

Week 5
Centauras Helmet awaiting to shine
Competition. Fled to Sibu due to the suspicion of H1N1 presence in miri, just kidding. Again, it’s time to decide who’s the best in Sarawak. Well I missed the competition one year ago, but nonetheless, the intensity is still the same. Pulled an all nighter to touch up the band banners. Finally, enjoyed their concert night in beautiful batik uniforms before we headed off to Sibu.

To be continued. . .
